Thanksgiving-For what are you most thankful?

I truly am most thankful for God’s love for us, specially demonstrated in His taking on human flesh, living a sinless life, dying in our place, being buried, rising from the dead, giving us His wise Word and Spirit, saving us, conforming us more to His image, preparing us a heavenly home, answering our prayers, and promising to come get us, and to glorify us so we can soon live with Him forever. Wow, thank you my heavenly Father, I can never repay or thank you enough…

Some truly wonderful posts on this internet site, thank you for contribution. “Such evil deeds could religion prompt.” by Lucretius.

Thanks for your comments. Lucretius declared war on religion because he thought it harmed and confused people. His bad experience with some religions tainted his view on all religions. Many of man’s religions do just that. However, Christianity is not as much a religion as it is a relationship with God. This relationship comes only by God solving man’s greatest problem/enemy (sin, which produces sickness and death). God did this by taking on human flesh as Jesus Christ, living a sinless life, dying in man’s place on the cross, and resurrecting to reconcile sinful man, with perfect God. This beautiful relationship removes a person’s guilt, gives new purpose, provides joy, an eternal perspective, and encourages all to love their fellow man.
